The Swallow’s Nest (Its Ukrainian dialectal equivalent recognized as Ластівчине гніздо, Lastivchyne hnizdo) is an ornate architectural marvel possessing a Neo-Gothic structural connotation evincing similarity with the chateaus that grace the landscape of France. Located between Yalta and Alupka on the Crimean peninsula in Southern Ukraine, Swallow’s Nest overlooks the Cape of Ai-Todor of the Black Sea. Built between the years of 1911 and 1912 in Gaspra, this impeccably designed construct rests at the apex of Aurora Cliff (this geographical feature is 40 meters or 130 feet in height) and is 20 meters (66 feet) in length by 10 meters (33 feet) in width.
