Near Death Experiences/ The Afterlife
Written By Michael Reign on Friday, September 20, 2013 | 11:11 PM
Near death experiences typically consist of two scenarios, one involving an individual’s spiritual ascension to a realm of actuality transcending base desire and human triviality - what many would associate with heaven - paradise ethereal. The other, a nightmarish visage of permanence embellished beneath an all consuming phlogiston, searing the very essence of one’s soul from the physical realm. What follows are cinematic references documenting the possibility of such phenomena:
Heaven
Hell
What follows below is an overt dramatization of one woman’s descent into Hell.
NOTE: A written appendage appearing in the uppermost portion of this brief cinematic discourse serves as a disclaimer, indicating the author’s true intent with the release of this feature.
Purgatory
Purgatory, a perpetual limbo independent of metaphysical actuality, exists as a temporal haven for disembodied spiritual entities seeking refuge from the ravages of uncertainty as it pertains to one’s destiny in the eternal.
WRITTEN ADDENDUM: Many are those who dismiss the concept of an afterlife, and thus all accounts pertaining to such experiences, based solely on their disdain for religious belief systems, choosing instead to adopt the annihilationist precepts of New Age Adventists at the expense of the Creationist philosophy. The dismissal of such possibilities portends more than a passing fascination with ignorance, for if the above stated paragraphs ring true, would not the abject denial of an eternal destiny condemn one’s spirit to the throes of an all encompassing perdition?
Spontaneous Human Combustion
Written By Michael Reign on Friday, August 30, 2013 | 12:11 AM
An as yet unexplained phenomena referencing the incidence of anatomical/ physiological combustion (Specifically, the physical burning and eventual cremation of individuals who have yet to succumb to death, oftentimes excluding the lower extremities which remain conspicuously unscathed) bereft of an apparent or discernible external catalyst. To date, there have been approximately 200 confirmed instances worldwide over the course of 300 years time. Several hypotheses formulated by experts in the fields of applied, conventional, and paranormal sciences have been considered as a possible explanation for the occurrence of these types of events, they are listed as follows:
Smoldering ash, oftentimes from previously ignited cigarettes, is recognized as a possible cause for the death of those found to have succumbed to the effects of this phenomena - as the crematory aspect pertinent to the physical anatomical structure of these individuals is a resultant by-product of their garment attire's inherent flammability.
The Wick Effect - A theoretical contrivance referencing the partial destruction of the human anatomy, through flame, via the presence of an external catalyst. In accordance with such hypothetical discourse, the victim’s clothing acts as a vector of transmission, while the subsequent exposure of subcutaneous tissue (The subcutaneous terminological designation acts as an inference to the presence of adipose tissue within the confines of the hypodermis [Recognized as the furthest anatomical component of the integumentary system, houses the largest reservoir of adipose tissue in association with human physiology]) through the charring of the skin serves as an accelerant, effectively concentrating the spread of flame to a centrally defined locus (This is confirmed through photographic evidence that further corroborates the incineration of the human anatomical structure, while preserving the physical integrity of the surrounding features within the victim’s environment). In layman’s terms, this fat, once heated by the burning clothing, wicks into the fabric, much as candle wax (composed in large part of animal fats and lard) wicks into a lit candle wick, to provide the fuel needed to maintain a constant source of energy.
Brian J. Ford (born in 1939 in Corsham, Wiltshire, England) is an independent research biologist, author, and lecturer who regularly publishes articles concerning various scientific points of interest, making such reference material available to the general public. Ford has conclusively proven the existence of a possible link between ketosis (The state at which an elevated presence of ketone bodies arises - occurs when liver glycogen stores present within the body have been considerably depleted. Ketone bodies release acetone as a chemical by-product during their formation, thereby lending credence to theories referencing ketonic condition as the necessary precursor to human combustibility) and the documented instance of spontaneous human combustion.
Though the aforementioned theories regarding the incidence of such phenomena provide researchers further insight as to possible cause, there are still questions that remain left unanswered, thereby relegating these types of occurrences to the files of the unexplained.
WRITTEN ADDENDUM: In a vast majority of the documented instances pertaining to the incidence of such phenomena, individuals found to have been the victims of such events shared several distinctive characteristics, most notably:
Physical infirmities impairing mobility resulting from the onset of diminished mental acuity/ faculty (oftentimes through the onset of Dementia or Alzheimer’s), natural age progression, drug abuse, obesity, the advanced stages of Diabetes, etcetera. Victims evince a high degree of likelihood of having perished in slumber, thus precluding their ability to actively prevent their demise.

Time Slip Phenomena
There is a scientific explanation governing the occurrence of such phenomena meriting a greater degree of disclosure, it is listed as follows:
This phenomenon could operate under a scientific premise governing the presupposed fluidity of time, in that the conceptualization of its inevitable passage exists not as a linear function, but rather as a single point in the spatial vacuum (in accordance with such precepts, cartographical aspects pertaining to the physical universe can be applied to the Cartesian plane coordinate-based system) - such contingencies would account for the presence of anomalous fluctuations within the prevailing cycle, as areas/ points of reference within a coordinate-based system experience convergence through their intersection. The presence of such anomalies within the prevailing timestream allows for the incidence of discontinuity (through the incorporation of the Cartesian plane coordinate-based system into the prevailing spatial dynamic, points of discontinuity or undefined regions absent of numerical assignation can arise. In linear algebra, these anomalies attain precedence through the application of functional expressions, with undefined values characterized by breaks within the line’s construction), accounting for this perceived disambiguation, as chronicled by those experiencing such phenomena firsthand.
NOTE: As is the case with paranormal phenomena, the objective reality pertinent to the documentation of such experiences is oftentimes disputed.
ZoZo Phenomenon
Black Eyed Children

Bethel's is one of many eye witness accounts referencing the incidence of such phenomena, with speculation rampant regarding the accuracy of these claims, many within the paranormal science community have arrived at a variance of conclusions with regard to the possible origins of these menacing specters.
Demonic entities possessing physical form? Human/ alien hybrid life forms? Lost souls suspended in time? These are the three most often mentioned possibilities referencing the incidence of such phenomena. Perhaps the most intriguing possibility being that of an empty spiritual husk, devoid of essence, and condemned to wander the Earth for eternity as punishment for some unnamable offense committed in their former life.
Doppelgänger
A German linguistic derivative whose literal translation is recognized as “double goer” or “double walker”, a term synonymous with the look-alike affectation; the Doppelgänger Phenomenon exists as a presage of ill omen, portending of death. In other instances, the incidence of such phenomena heralds the possibility of bilocation, the simultaneity of occupancy - where an individual can, theoretically, be in two separate localities at the same exact moment in time. The final possibility regarding the notion of such an occurrence rests in the astral manifestation of an entity, perhaps a spiritual projection of the individual in question, possessing an aura of negativity - one’s polar opposite, in every sense of the word.
Skinwalkers
In accordance with the belief systems and cultural folklore endemic to Southwestern regions of the United States, especially those referencing Navajo and Hopi tradition, skinwalkers are shamans/ witches/ occult practitioners capable of assuming bestial semblance. Legends pertinent to the American Southwest foretell of human shapeshifters possessing an inherent ability to alter their physical form, thereby facilitating a corporeal transmogrification into various animalistic incarnations. The werewolf, popularized by the entertainment industry via the production of an innumerable host of cinematic features, is the prototypical example of the skinwalker phenomena.
Thunderbird
A legendary fixture in the annals of Native American lore and tradition, the thunderbird is recognized as a supernatural being of immense power and strength. The principal origins referencing its existence center around the belief that the enormous wingspan of this creature produces thunder and stirs the wind - oftentimes in advance of ominous weather systems. The Lakota christened this magical entity as Wakį́yą, from wakhą, meaning “sacred”, and kįyą, interpreted as “winged”. The Kwakiutl culture know this being as “Hohoq”, while the Nuu-chah-nulth (Nootka) commonly refer to it as “Kw-Uhnx-Wa”. The Ojibwa refer to this great beast as animikii (A literal representation of thunder). Described as being more than two canoe-lengths in width, the appearance of this majestic creature synonymous with the manifestation of threatening weather patterns - cloud formations coalesce in menacing splendor, in tune with the beat of its massive wings, lightning emanating from within its spectral visage, released in passing glance in blanketing sheets of iridescence. Its massive talons clutching a glowing ensemble of serpentine appendages, their release in the form of bolts of electrical current, striking the Earth below without warning.
Its legend as a singular entity or specieal order hinges primarily on the traditions and philosophies of those cultures espousing belief in its existence. In each instance, the thunderbird is depicted as extremely intelligent, immensely powerful, and possessing of an almost palpable degree of wrathful intent. The singular thunderbird, as the Nootka believed, resided at the apex of mountainous regions, a humble servant to the Great Spirit who traversed the skies as an emissary to other entities comprising the infinite pantheons of the afterlife. The plural incarnation of this legendary beast capable of assuming human form, their feathery raiment visualized as a type of outer garment. Perhaps the most celebrated tale referencing the existence of this avian behemoth is “Thunderbird and Whale”, the full context of its description attainable at the following link:

In a contemporary setting there are stories mentioning possible sightings, the most notable being an incident attributed to the state of Arizona in April of 1890. Purportedly two cowboys traveling by horseback managed to mortally wound a giant birdlike creature possessing an enormous wingspan. Described by witnesses as having smooth scale-like skin features, featherless wings similar to those of a large bat, and a face resembling that of an alligator. Interestingly enough, this visceral interpretation bears resemblance to the prehistoric pterodactyl. In a more recent setting, numerous sightings of a large bird the size of a Piper Cub aircraft have been attributed to the states of Washington, Utah, and Idaho - all of these observances documented in a ten year time span from the 1960s to the early 1970s. On several occasions these incidences were accompanied by large footprints throughout the surrounding area.
Various experts in the field of cryptozoology have postulated that the legends surrounding the appearance of this majestic creature are based on sightings that can be attributed to an actual member of the animal kingdom. Initially these findings were largely discredited by skeptics within the scientific community who believed that an animal of such immense size and shape would be incapable of achieving upward mobility, however, the existence of such a creature is not beyond the realm of possibility. The prehistoric vulture-like Teratornis incredibilis possessed a wingspan ranging 5 to 7 meters in length (16 to 24 feet), and is believed to have been capable of flight.
Shadow People
A phenomenon gaining a considerable amount of attention in recent years; the manifestation of dark or obsidian personages bereft of conceivable shape or form, has oftentimes been dismissed as the by-product of an overactive imagination on the part of the observer. Paranormal researchers and enthusiasts remain undecided as to the exact nature of such entities, as their opinions regarding the origins of such figures remain the subject of debate in numerous forums of discussion. The following descriptions, referencing these possible origins, are consistent with these differences of opinion:
Imagination/ Illusory Fluctuations in the Visible Light Spectrum - The scientific community, as well as individuals espousing a marked degree of skepticism, have come to associate the incidence of such phenomena with an overactive imagination on the part of observers. Many also attribute the appearance of such figures to fluctuations in the visible light spectrum as a possible explanation for their occurrence.
Demonic/ Malevolent Spiritual Entities - The ominous countenance ascribed to the manifestation of such figures in the physical sense, has fueled speculation among various factions within the paranormal science community leading many to come to a consensus regarding their question of identity, thereby lending credence to the notion that such personages possess an inherently diabolical predisposition.
Photographic Still - Shadow People Phenomena
Time Travelers - The manifestation of these metaphysical anomalies in the physical world has heralded a wide variance of speculative assessments within the paranormal science community, equating the incidence of such phenomena with the possibility of time travel. In accordance with this theory, it is believed that the visual manifestation of such figures in a corporeal sense, are, in actuality, echoes present within the prevailing time stream of individuals from future realms of existence, observing events endemic to the present.
Interdimensional Beings - The vast majority of those within the scientific community have come to a consensus regarding the existence of dimensions far beyond those quantified through a process of conventional reasoning. Some theorists within the paranormal science community believe that apertures in the fabric of space and time exhibit parallel synchronicity with our plane of existence, yet remain conspicuously imperceptible to those inhabiting these divergent timelines - thus the possibility would exist that the appearance of such figures could be the result of some form of vibrational attunement, whereby the physical realm coexists with the quantum universe. In this instance then, the perception of one’s reality is governed by the behaviors of infinitesimal particles whose very existence is predicated on the incidence of vibration at the quantum level. In summation, the actualization of such entities, in the corporeal sense, could be indicative of some type of interdimensional interface - where the very fabric of space and time coalesces at certain junctures within the prevailing continuum, thereby affording a marked increase in the manifestation of this type of phenomena.
Hat Man
EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena)
Ghosts/ Apparitions
The incidence of such phenomena is oftentimes synonymous with unspeakable tragedy, as the spiritual essences of those passing over into the next plane of existence linger in the space between realms seeking resolution. In some instances the manifestation of apparitions attains precedence in lieu of occult activity in or around the affected environment, as paranormal investigators will oftentimes attest to. The scientific community, by and large, dismisses the existentiality of such manifestations, equating their incidence to the ingestion of hallucinatory substances, the onset of mental infirmity, or traumatic life experience memory recall.
Physicists and experts in the field of applied science attribute the incidence of such phenomena to deviations within the visible light spectrum, citing such occurrences as part of a larger sequence of natural progression. Theologians and religious scholars claim these occurrences prove the existence of spiritual realms beyond one’s natural scope of perception, indeed many have come to a consensus that the space between one’s eternal destination rests solely upon the Earth - a temporary interdimensional furlough, oftentimes referred to as Limbo, and in various religious circles as Purgatory.
Paranormal Phenomena/ The Unexplained
The terminological designation, 'paranormal', exists as a literal generalization for the incidence of phenomena beyond what is scientifically conceivable.
DISCLAIMER: As is oftentimes the case with the seemingly unexplainable, skepticism and questions of veracity relevant to the incidence of such phenomena remain the subject of speculation.
