Hobson’s Choice
Written By Michael Reign on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 | 5:41 PM
A dilemma predicated on the illusion of choice, where the concept of necessity is governed by the absence of alternative. In the political realm, the premise of such decisions rests on an illusory freedom of selection dictated by a corporatist electorate.
* LAYMAN’S SYNOPSIS - by Michael Reign - The concept of Hobson’s Choice is simply defined as one where the freedom of choice (especially in the political realm) is virtually nonexistent - not through its absence, but rather through the elimination of viable alternatives.
