Exists as a pay structure predicated on the institution of a wage scale variance relative to the seniority of experienced personnel/ employees with that of new or prospective hires. Two-tier wage systems are practices endemic to large-scale businesses or corporate firms housing a strong union presence within the predominant organizational structure.
