Totalitarianism

Alternatively known as Totalitarian Rule, Totalitarianism is a political system where the state, acting at the behest of an individual, faction, or societal class possessing a vast repository of intergovernmental influence, recognizes no limits to their authority and, in turn, strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life under penalty of law. Totalitarianism is nominally characterized by the marked coincidence of Authoritarianism (a politically motivated enterprise whereby citizens of a respective nation possess a virtually nonexistent share in the delegation of fiscal policy or legislative mandate) and the emergence of ideology (a pervasive scheme of values promulgated by institutional means to direct most, if not all, aspects of public and private life relative to a particular nation, province, or principality).
