Skinwalkers

In accordance with the belief systems and cultural folklore endemic to Southwestern regions of the United States, especially those referencing Navajo and Hopi tradition, skinwalkers are shamans/ witches/ occult practitioners capable of assuming bestial semblance. Legends pertinent to the American Southwest foretell of human shapeshifters possessing an inherent ability to alter their physical form, thereby facilitating a corporeal transmogrification into various animalistic incarnations. The werewolf, popularized by the entertainment industry via the production of an innumerable host of cinematic features, is the prototypical example of the skinwalker phenomena.
